Center Grove Boys Basketball League Descriptions

CGBBL is organized to enable boys in 1st through 8th grade participate and compete in basketball.

1st and 2nd grade leagues are played at a goal height of 8 feet and a free throw line of 12 feet and do not allow guarding the ball before it is brought across the mid court line.  Games consistent of 6 periods lasting five minutes each and any one player may not have more than 12 points in a game.

3rd and 4th grade leagues are played at a goal height of 10 feet and a free throw line of 13 feet.  Games consistent of 4 periods lasting six minutes each and any one player may not have more than 15 points in a game.

5th and 6th grade leagues are played at a goal height of 10 feet and a free throw line of 15 feet. Games consistent of 4 periods lasting six minutes each and any one player may not have more than 15 points in a game.

7th and 8th grade leagues are played at a goal height of 10 feet and a free throw line of 15 feet . Games consistent of 4 periods lasting seven minutes each and  the number of points scored during a game by a player are not restricted.
