Center Grove Boys Basketball League Travel Division

Registration

Travel league registration is now open! 

Register online at https://www.cgbbl.com/home. The deadline to register players and volunteer coaches for the travel division is Thursday, September 4th at 9 PM. A non-refundable $20 registration fee is required and will be credited toward dues for players who make a travel team. 

Eligibility

Players must either reside in the Center Grove School District or attend a Center Grove school and must be in 2nd through 6th grade. Playing up a grade is not permitted. If a player's school has its own Indiana Ball team, they are expected to play for that team unless prior approval has been granted to play for Center Grove before team selections are made.

Cost

An additional fee of $305 will be required for players selected for a travel team. This payment will be due after team rosters are finalized.

Teams

For 2nd grade, there will be one travel team. For 3rd through 6th grades, up to three teams may be formed per grade level, with each team consisting of approximately eight players.

Evaluations

Player evaluations and team selections will be overseen by CGHS Head Boys Basketball Coach Zach Hahn. Evaluations will take place at the CGHS Student Athletic Center on Sunday, September 7th. All players interested in joining a travel team are required to attend.

Evaluation Times on Sunday, September 7th 

3rd Grade 11:00am to 12:15pm 

4th Grade 12:45 pm to 2:00pm 

5th Grade 2:15pm to 3:30pm

6th Grade 3:45pm to 5:00pm 

*2nd Grade 1pm to 2pm (Vandy Gym) 

Observers are not permitted in the gym during evaluations. Please do not bring basketballs—equipment will be provided.

Coaches

If you’re interested in coaching a travel team, you must register as a volunteer. A Google Form will be sent to you and must be completed before registration closes in order to be considered. Coaches will be selected after players are assigned to teams, and those chosen will be contacted shortly after team placements are finalized.

Travel Season

The travel division season begins in late October and continues through March. The season includes regular Indiana Ball League games as well as participation in additional leagues and tournaments. Practices will start after Fall Break and will be held twice a week for 90 minutes each at gyms in the Center Grove area. Games take place on Sundays across the Indianapolis area.
